(ERC Proof-of-Concept)

In collaboration with the KIOS Research Center, University of Cyprus. WaterSAFE offers An Integrated Cyber-Physical Security Solution for Water Distribution Systems.

The project aims to enhance the cybersecurity of water distribution Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), protecting them from cyber and physical attacks that threaten public health and infrastructure. Using Digital Twin and machine learning technologies, it will provides real-time simulation, detection, and response to threats through an Early Warning System and operator training tools. Building on the ERC SyG Water Futures project, WaterSAFE will develop a proof-of-concept demonstrated in real-world environments, helping water utilities improve risk management, meet EU regulations, and strengthen their cybersecurity culture.
